COVID 19 STATEMENT ON TRAINING
Shukokai Karate Dojos will be doing everything we can to ensure that you and your child are safe at our clubs. We know that chances of infection are minimal, but let’s keep things nice and tight to be sure.
Some of the safety & sanitation processes we will have in place include:
- Temperature testing of everyone, including staff, before coming into the dojo.
- Hand sanitiser stations – compulsory hand sanitising before entry and on entering the dojo matted area.
- Social distancing in the foyer.
- Safe spacing in class between students.
- Chairs will be removed from the viewing area so as to minimise potential contamination hotspots – but we’ll have some on hand for those who need them.
- Restricted class numbers.
- A break between classes, so one class can leave before the next comes in, reducing the number of people in the foyer.
- “Hot Spots” such as bathrooms, door handles, taps etc wiped down and disinfected between class.
- Training equipment cleaned after use.
- Full disinfect / clean at the end of every night.
- Students to come to the dojo in their Gi ready to train, toilets will be available, but not as change rooms.
- Our instructors and staff have completed a Covid Safe Martial Arts Instructor Certification course.
These standards are above the recommendations put in place by the government, and continually updated. Enjoy your time training with us knowing we regard your safety as a top priority.
